Private and independent service
Documents From Italy is a private service and is not affiliated with the Italian government, a Comune, a consulate or a court. It does not issue public records. Certificates and certified copies are issued by the competent authority. Where available, you may request records directly from that authority; its own requirements and fees apply. Our fee pays for handling the retrieval on your behalf.
What the service includes
Retrieval of identified Italian civil or church records and related written communication with the issuing office. No open-ended genealogical research, legal advice, legal representation or assessment of citizenship eligibility is provided.
Prices and acceptance
The standard service fee is US$140 per document. The US$40 Case Opening Fee is charged once per accepted case and credited toward the service total. For one standard document the balance is US$100 once it is obtained. Authority fees, duties and shipping are separate. The scope, total price and known additional charges are confirmed in writing before paid work begins. An initial website enquiry does not place a paid order.
